Despite temperatures cooling down, the events in Columbus are heating up! Looking for a family friendly activity or for a night out on the town? Look no further. Check out the following list for your guide to Central Ohio's events this month!

1. Ed Sheeran

When: Tuesday, October 3rd & Wednesday, October 4th from 6PM-10PM

Where: Nationwide Arena || 200 W Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, OH 43215

Admission: $39.50 – $89.50

What: The tour celebrates Sheeran’s landmark third studio album, “÷.” The album – pronounced “divide” includes the universal hit singles, “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill,” both of which made incredible chart entries after their simultaneous January release. “Shape of You” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Hot 100"


2. All-American Quarter Horse Congress 

When: Oct.6th through Oct. 30th

Where: Ohio Expo Center || 717 E 17th Ave, Columbus, OH 43211

What: The largest single-breed horse show in America takes place in Columbus each year, stretching for three weeks and welcoming more than 725,000 guests. Find the best riding gear, and watch fun competitions like barrel racing.

3. Fashion Week Columbus

When: Oct. 7th through Oct. 14th

Where: Around Columbus

What: Columbus is a fashion capital and there’s no time it shows more than at Fashion Week Columbus. See runway couture from our best local designers, meet the fashion cognoscenti and shop for your next look to make heads turn at this full week of events and shows.

4. Italian Festival 

When: Oct. 6th through Oct. 8th

Where: St. John the Baptist Church 

What: Columbus’ Italian Village is undergoing its own renaissance right now, booming with new condos, hip bars, fun live music venues and cozy cafes. See the roots of this neighborhood at the Italian Festival and join in the music, food and parades.

5. HighBall Halloween

When: Oct. 20th & 21st 

Where: Short North Arts District

What: Fashion is at the forefront at HighBall, a costume couture party that closes down High Street for two nights. The local fashion scene is on full display with eight local designers presenting runway shows. There’s a high bar for the public costume contest, so bring your best.

6. Kings of Leon

When: Friday, October 20th  at 7:00 PM

Where: Schottenstein Center || 555 Borror Drive, Columbus, OH 43210

Admission: $29.50 – $235.50

What: On the heels of a #1 album, a chart-topping radio hit, a sold out first leg of a global tour which begins its second leg this Friday, Kings of Leon announces that they will be adding a new fall leg of their WALLS tour that will travel to all new North American cities, including Columbus, OH, with a stop at The Schottenstein Center on Friday, October 20!

7. Boo At The Zoo

When: Friday, October 20th – Saturday, October 28th
Friday 5PM-9PM, Saturday 10AM-9PM, Sunday, 10AM – 8PM

Where: Columbus Zoo & Aquarium || 4850 W Powell Road, Powell, OH 43065

What: Join us at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium for this “merry-not-scary” Halloween tradition of heroic proportions! Meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman and Wonder Woman, plus visit Frogwortz, Pumpkin Junction, treat stations and more!


8. Creepside Festival

When: Saturday, October 21st from 11AM-3PM

Where: Creekside Park & Plaza || 123 Mill Street, Gahanna, OH 43230

What: Put on your costumes, dress up the kids, and join us for the 14th Annual Creepside Festival. This event is free and appropriate for all ages. Event highlights include: live music, games, activities, haunted trail, trick or treat with local organizations, and plenty of candy.


9. Circleville Pumpkin Show

When: Wednesday, October 18th – Saturday, October 21

Where: Downtown Circleville

What: Running since 1903, the Circleville Pumpkin Show is nothing short of a good, old-fashioned pumpkin extravaganza. Head on over for some tasty treats and find out who will be crowned this year’s Pumpkin Queen. Displays of pumpkins of all sizes and types will be there for the ogling not to mention parades and pies, too.
